UGCO at UWC Mahindra
The University Guidance & Counselling Office (UGCO) at UWC Mahindra supports students through every step of their post-secondary journey. Starting in the first year with IB subject choices, guidance extends to university programme discovery, application strategy, and exploring gap-year or alternative career pathways. MUWCI graduates secure placements at leading institutions worldwide, with a strong presence in the United States and the United Kingdom.
What the UGCO does
The UGCO works with each student individually. The counsellor takes into account where a student comes from, what they have studied, what they care about, and where they are trying to go. The goal is a "best fit" match, not simply the most prestigious option available.
The office is also clear about what that means in practice. Students are encouraged to look past conventional rankings and consider what a university is actually like to study at: its culture, its support structures, and whether it is a place where the student will genuinely thrive.
