Get a feel for MUWCI before your child gets here!
Sending your child to a fully residential school on a hillside in Maharashtra, 50 kilometres from the nearest city, is not a small decision. This section is here to help you feel close to UWC Mahindra before your child arrives, while they are there, and as they prepare to leave.
Whether you are still weighing up the application or your child is already in their second year, you will find what you need here: how they live, what they study, how the college keeps them well, and how to get in touch when it matters.
What parents tell us
Our daughter's decision to leave the US and attend MUWCI has proven to be nothing less than transformational. At the core, she has removed herself from a culture that views the high school years as nothing more than positioning yourself for college admissions — to years that have real meaning, value and purpose in and of themselves.
Pedro's move to MUWCI was influenced by me. It all comes down to this sentence he said to me recently: ‘There hasn't been a single day when I thought, what am I doing here?’ We truly feel that he is happy, well-integrated, and loving all the experiences he's been given.
My goal was to help my son Kanav become an independent thinker, a responsible human, and a confident global citizen, which was made possible by his time at MUWCI. I feel privileged and excited about how he carries these values into his next chapter of life.
The truly international atmosphere was fantastic – so many young people from such diverse backgrounds living, learning and growing together. That’s the real UWC spirit! What’s more, the support from teachers and staff is great, both for the students and for the parents. It was a real home for my daughter, who has blossomed into a wonderful young adult at MUWCI. Oh, and I’ve never seen teachers dancing on stage at a graduation ceremony before!
I am truly delighted to share my experience of my child at Mahindra United World College of India (MUWCI). This institution has completely transformed my child's outlook, instilling in her a strong sense of purpose, confidence, and ambition. Coming directly from the Himalayas of Ladakh to an international school in Pune was a life changing opportunity for her. The growth in her thinking, perspective, and self confidence has been remarkable. She has become more independent, open minded, and determined to pursue her goals. I am deeply grateful to everyone at MUWCI for their constant guidance, support, and encouragement throughout her journey. Their commitment to nurturing young minds has made a lasting impact on her life, and for that, I will always be thankful.
