What you will not find anywhere else in India.
Most schools aim to prepare students for the world. UWC colleges aim to bring the world into the school.
The UWC mission is to unite people, nations, and cultures for peace and a sustainable future. That is not a marketing line. It is a founding principle held by all UWC colleges worldwide, and reflected in every admissions decision, scholarship policy, and curriculum choice UWC Mahindra makes.
The movement is the point.
Most schools aim to prepare students for the world. UWC colleges aim to bring the world into the school. The UWC mission — to unite people, nations, and cultures for peace and a sustainable future — is a founding principle held by every UWC college, and reflected in every admissions decision, scholarship policy, and curriculum choice.
When you study at UWC Mahindra, you are joining a lifelong global network. UWC alumni find each other. They hire each other. They show up.
About the UWC movementIndia is not the address. It is part of the curriculum.
UWC Mahindra is the only UWC college in India. The 180-acre biodiversity reserve in the Sahyadri hills is not incidental to the education — it is central to it.
The Triveni programme extends the IB CAS requirement into mandatory on- and off-campus service, creative projects, and weeks of project-based travel across India. Students take trains. They work with communities. No other IB school in India asks this.
Experiential learningTaught by the people who helped write it.
The IB invites a small number of schools to help pilot and develop new subject curricula. UWC Mahindra is one of those schools — helping shape Global Politics, World Religions, Film Studies, and the World Studies Extended Essay (pioneered here in 2003).
When you take these courses at MUWCI, you are taught by faculty who were in the room when the curriculum was built. Accredited by the Council of International Schools; member of the IB Organisation.
Explore the IB DiplomaGenuine diversity, not aspirational diversity.
Around 260 students from more than 80 nations live, eat, argue, collaborate, and study together at UWC Mahindra. Fully residential, with no single nationality dominating.
That level of diversity is difficult to manufacture. Here it is structural — the UWC selection process is global, and the scholarship programme is substantial. Over two years, your assumptions will be tested by the person sitting across from you at dinner.
Meet the communityNot the exception. The norm.
A significant majority of UWC Mahindra students attend on full or partial scholarship. Financial need is not a barrier to admission; it is a factor the UWC selection process actively works to remove.
The scholarship commitments underpinning this — USD 12.5m (Davis + Mahindra, 2014), USD 15m Davis IMPACT Challenge (2015), USD 7.5m (Scholae Mundi + Mahindra Group, 2017) — are active programmes, not endowments.
Fees & financial supportThe rest of your life.
UWC Mahindra graduates go on to universities across the world. But what former students describe as the most significant part of their education is not the IB score or the university placement. It is the two years themselves.
The community is small enough that everyone matters. The hill is remote enough that you cannot escape the people around you. The work is hard enough to change how you think.
