UWC Mahindra looks for students who are genuinely curious, committed to something beyond their own advancement, and ready to live and learn in close proximity with people who are fundamentally unlike them. Academic achievement matters, but it is never the only thing.
What UWC Mahindra looks for
Five core competencies sit at the heart of MUWCI's educational philosophy: Curiosity, Critical Thinking, Creativity, Courage, and Compassion. These qualities guide our admissions process and define our two-year journey. While strong academic results matter, selection hinges on knowledge, skills, and attitude combined—evaluating what applicants have achieved with the opportunities available to them. Context is essential: initiative shown in a resource-limited environment is valued just as highly as a polished record from a well-resourced school. MUWCI does not seek finished changemakers, but students ready to grow into them.

Am I eligible to Apply to UWC Mahindra?
To be eligible for UWC Mahindra, students must be between 16 to 19 years of age at the time of starting the programme. The college offers the two-year IB Diploma Programme for students in Years 1 and 2. Students must be able to study and communicate in English, as all teaching at UWC Mahindra is conducted in English.
