Why MUWCI

Three things that change you here.

This is not a school in a city. It is two hundred and forty students from seventy-plus nations, living and learning together on a hilltop reserve in western India — through learning, through diversity, through purpose.

Experiential learning

Learning is something you do.

The heart of a MUWCI education is not the lecture — it is the project, the trek, the seminar, the village. Students are challenged to think independently, care purposefully, and act on what they learn.

Explore experiential learning

Triveni

Interdisciplinary seminars where subjects, staff and two years of questions meet. Every student chooses three.

Outdoor Education

Hiking, trekking, kayaking and camping across the Sahyadris — a classroom you can't sit still in.

Grants-based projects

Student-led initiatives, funded to act on what you learn — from the village school to campus rewilding.

Place

175 acres of Sahyadri hills.

Our campus is a working biodiversity reserve. Leopard sightings, monsoon waterfalls, a forest you can disappear into between classes. Place is not the backdrop — it is the curriculum.

People

Seventy-plus nations, one community.

Five roommates from five continents. A Triveni meeting where Mandarin, Pashto, Quechua and Marathi share air. The friction of difference is the point — and the privilege.

Giving

Every gift puts a student on the hill.

Seventy-seven per cent of MUWCI students receive financial support. The Annual Fund is how alumni and parents keep that promise alive, year after year.
