Sustainability Fund
UWC Mahindra sits on a 175-acre biodiversity reserve in the Western Ghats, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. More than 90 per cent of the campus is left in its natural state. Sustainability is not a policy position at UWC Mahindra. It is a daily reality that every student, staff member, and visitor experiences.
The Sustainability Fund supports the investments required to protect that reality and build on it: renewable energy systems, water conservation infrastructure, waste management, and the research and conservation work that maintains the reserve itself.
What the campus has achieved
UWC Mahindra has been recognised as a Green Campus for its efforts in renewable energy, water conservation, waste management, and biodiversity preservation. The college continues to set targets for reducing its environmental footprint and has involved students directly in sustainability planning and monitoring.
What your gift funds
Contributions to the Sustainability Fund go towards specific green infrastructure projects, conservation partnerships, and the environmental monitoring work that keeps the biodiversity reserve intact.
